Jennifer Garner, Beyoncé, Jane Lynch, and More Urge Ban on 'Bossy'

What do Jennifer Garner, Beyoncé, Jane Lynch, fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, and NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson have in common? The A-listers teamed up with the Girl Scouts of the USA and LeanIn.org for a campaign that urges a ban on the word bossy and encourages young ladies to be leaders.

In a Public Service Announcement released on Sunday, the stars point out that girls are discouraged from taking on leadership roles because of name calling and labeling.

"I think the word 'bossy' is just a squasher," "Glee" star Lynch says.

The "Run the World" singer adds, "Girls are less interested in leadership than boys," for fear of being called "bossy."
